Each litre of our A2 desi cow ghee is made from 21 litres of milk from grass-fed Hallikar breed of native cows.  To preserve the nutritional value, we use the Ayurvedic Bilona method where the milk is turned into butter and slow boiled over firewood to give a highly nutritious ghee with a sublime flavour that you will love!

Most milk available in the market today is Jersey cow milk (A1 milk) while the milk we get from desi cows (cows with a hump) has A2 proteins. The way both of these proteins affect the body are different and A1 proteins are often related to indigestion, bloating, gas, inflammation and heart disease. Jersey cows are also injected with hormones so that they can give more milk. Our ghee is made from the milk of the Hallikar-Malnad Gidda cow, a local variety of desi cows from Karnataka.

These are grass-fed cows that are not given any hormones. Milk is made into curd and then churned to take butter (this is the method prescribed in Ayurveda - and not directly taking ghee from milk cream). The butter is slowly boiled over firewood to make ghee. We need 22 litres of milk to make 1 litre of ghee and as it is boiled over firewood, the flavor increases.

Since only 5 litres of jersey cow milk is used to make 1 litre of ghee, A2 ghee made from the traditional method is much more expensive. However, the additional cost is nothing compared to the taste and nutrition A2 ghee provides.

Shipment processing time

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Healwithfood is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).


Healwithfood is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier or our team to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

We currently do not ship outside India.

Returns Policy

Our policy lasts 3 days. If 3 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the warehouse.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

Late or missing refunds 

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
